CSS Age Limit in Pakistan 2025 for Males & Females

CSS age limit is the leading question among CSS aspirants. All candidates who intend to attempt CSS exam must check CSS Age limit policy. The meant of this post is to discuss age relaxation rules and regulations.

The age limit for the CSS exam is between 21 and 30 years. You must be at least 21 years old and no older than 30 on the specified cut-off date to be eligible.

For example, if someone was born before December 31, 1994, or after January 1, 2004, they will not be eligible to take the CSS exam in 2025, which is scheduled for February 15, 2025.

CSS Exam Age Relaxation Policy 2024

Some groups have two year special age relaxation facility in CSS exam.

(a) Candidates from the Scheduled Caste or Buddhist community must provide a certificate. This certificate should be issued by the Deputy Commissioner, District Magistrate, or another authorized official.

(b) Candidates from recognized communities living in specific areas must provide proof that their families have lived there. The areas include:

• Baluchistan
• Tribal Areas of D.I. Khan and Peshawar Divisions
• Excluded areas of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur
• Tribal areas of Mardan and Hazara Divisions
• Upper Tanawal Area of Hazara Division

(c) Candidates from Azad Kashmir must provide a certificate from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir authority.

(d) Candidates from Gilgit-Baltistan, including Gilgit, Diamir, Baltistan, Ghizer, and Guanche, must submit a certificate from the Deputy Commissioner or an authorized official.

(e) Special candidates, such as those with physical, hearing, speech, or vision impairments, must provide a disability certificate issued by a Federal or Provincial Government officer.

(f) Government employees, military personnel, and contract workers must have at least two years of continuous service in a government position. They also need permission from their department. However, employees of national banks, the State Bank, WAPDA, and similar organizations are not eligible for age relaxation.

The time spent on extraordinary leave will not be counted toward the required government service for age relaxation. This means that any period spent on extraordinary leave will not be considered as part of the service for age relaxation purposes.

Important Note about CSS Age Limit

Age relaxation can only be used under one rule at a time and cannot be combined with other relaxations. This means candidates can only take advantage of one specific relaxation. Also, no extra age relaxation will be given beyond what is stated in these rules. Therefore, candidates must follow these rules carefully and not expect any other age relaxation.
